Ben Stehura enters his fourth year at the helm of the Limestone Saints Wrestling program. In the 2004-2005 inaugural seaon of the progam at Limestone, Stehura coached senior heavyweight John Richard who became the Saints' first All-American wrestler. Richard defeated the Colorado School of Mines' Derek Thompson 13-9 in the NCAA Division II National Tournament to take 7th place in the nation. With more than 40 wrestlers on the roster, Stehura was able to fullfill the slogan worn on t-shirts throughout the entire year, "History in the Making."

Stehura continued his succes during the 2005-06 season, as Brent Clausing became the second wrestler in the two-year history of the program to qualify for the NCAA National Tournament after finishing second at the NCAA East Regional. He also coached Joby Shreckhise to a sixth-place finish at the event and while heavyweight Trey Moss finished fifth. He also coached national qualifier Trey Moss during the 2006-07 season.

Stehura earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Lock Haven University in December 2000. In May of 2003 he completed his Masters Degree in Education at Cleveland State University.

Prior to coaching at Limestone, Stehura was a member of the coaching staff at nationally ranked Cleveland State University. At Cleveland State he served as the Assistant coach and Freestyle and Greco Roman Club Coach (2001-2003). While with Cleveland State, Stehura helped guide the team to a second place finish in the prestigious Eastern Wrestling League, a top 25 national ranking (Div I), and coached ten NCAA Div I national qualifiers as well as three freestyle and Greco Roman world team qualifiers.

A three-year starter at 165 lbs. for Lock Haven University, Stehura earned fourth and fifth place finishes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament. He also earned a fourth place finish in the EWL Conference Tournament, and was a member of the EWL All-Academic Team.

 

Kevin Vees

Kevin Vees graduated from Johnson & Wales University (Providence, R.I.) in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management.  He competed in the 125 lb. weight class and was a three-time New England Wrestling College Association (NCAA Division III) runner-up for the Wildcats.  Vees was also a two-time Academic All-America selection, and posted a career record of 115-39 for Johnson & Wales.

Vees has had previous coaching experience at several camps including the Carl Adams Wrestling camp in Boston, Mass., and the Big Dawg Wrestling Camp in Providence, RI.  The Doylestown, Pa., native comes to Limestone from Sports International, a Maryland based company, where he served as the Director of Marketing.

He is currently working on a master of science degree in Sports Management from the California University of Pennsylvania.

 

Trent Goodale , Assistant Coach

Trent Goodale enters his second year as an assistant coach for the Saints wrestling team.

Goodale, a native of Osage, Iowa, attended the University of Iowa where he earned a bachelor of arts in communication studies. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Hawkeyes and was a 2004 NCAA Division I national qualifier. He was also a two-time Fila Junior All-American in freestyle.

His coaching experience includes volunteering as an assistant coach during college with the Iowa West High School and working several University of Iowa Athletic Camps.

During his high school career at Osage High School, he was a three-time state champion and a four-time conference champions.
