Strength and
Conditioning Coordinator
Curt Lamb is in his second year as strength and conditioning coordinator
at Limestone College.The Iowa native is a certified strength and
conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning
Association (NSCA) and a level one club coach through the United States
Weightlifting Association (USAW).
Curt received a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports sciences from
Iowa State University. He earned his master's degree in exercise and
sports sciences at Central Missouri State University.
Prior
to coming to Limestone, Curt was the Assistant Sports Performance
Director for a sports performance center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
implementing strength and conditioning programs and assisting in speed,
power, agility and conditioning training for high school and college
athletes.
From
2001-2003, Curt was a strength and conditioning coach with the
Milwaukee Brewers (2001) and Anaheim Angels (2002-2003) organizations
at the minor league level.
At Iowa State, Curt severed as a student volunteer strength coach and
instructed athletes from 14 different Division 1, Olympic style sports
in the areas of Olympic style weightlifting, lateral speed and agility,
straight ahead speed mechanics, functional strength training
techniques, nutrition and flexibility training. His main
responsibilities were to the baseball, men’s basketball and softball
programs..
While
at Central Missouri State, he severed as a graduate teaching assistant
for the Physical Education Department as well as a volunteer strength
coach for the women’s basketball program.
Curt lives in Gaffney
with his wife Renae and son Alex.
