LADY SAINTS BEAT LEES-MCRAE 24-8 |
Kelly Lickert (Penn Yan, N.Y.) tallied five points from four goals and an assist. Melissa Howard (Ferndale, Md.) scored a goal and posted four assists. Kelly Oterson (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) scored three goals with an assist, and Katie Ilott (Whitby, Ontario, Canada) scored three times. Casey Wilcox (Liverpool, N.Y.) scored twice and dished out two assists for a game-high six points.. The Lady Saints had a 43-20 advantage on shots, and edged LMC 16-14 on groundn balls. Limestone won 21 draw controls as Lees-McRae took 10. Ilott led Limestone with four draw controls. Erin Growney (Rochester, N.Y.) and Summer Ferraro (East Setauket, N.Y.) each had three draw controls. Goalkeeper Michaela Reynolds (Columbia, Md.) posted five saves. Limestone heads to Misenheimer, N.C., to play Pfeiffer University on Saturday at 2 p.m. |

BANNER ELK, N.C.—The No. 2-ranked Lady Saints lacrosse team defeated Conference Carolinas-foe Lees-McRae 24-8 on Wednesday evening. Limestone climbs to 11-1 overall (8-0 league) with the win. The Lady Bobcats fall to 1-12, (0-8).
