SAINTS CROSS COUNTRY SIGNS KORIR |
GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone Cross Country Head Coach Kevin Vees has announced the signing of Michael Kimutai Korir (Kericho, Kenya) for the upcoming fall season. Korir comes to Limestone from Kericho Tea Secondary School located in Kenya. He will be a big addition to the Saints cross country team. Korir has solid times, running the 8k in 25:13 and running the 10k in 30:41. He will make an instant impact in the conference and the region in his first year with Limestone. Korir will also compete in track and field during the spring season to add some depth to the Saints’ distance events. He will be studying pre-nursing in the fall. “This is a really big signing for us as we hope to make the Saints cross country a national powerhouse in both cross country and track & field,” commented Vees. “Michael will really make a stand in the conference, the region, and the nation. He is already a solid runner and will help to push some of our younger runners so that we can tighten up our front seven.” |
