LIMESTONE MEN’S SOCCER STRIKES COBRAS, 1-0 |
HARTSVILLE, S.C.—The Limestone College men’s soccer defeated the Coker College Cobras 1-0 on Wednesday night. The Saints climb to 8-1-1 overall (3-1-1 Conference Carolinas). “Coker is a really hard working team,” commented Saints Head Coach Eric Alsop. “They put us under a lot of pressure, and we have to give credit to them for a great game.” The Saints scored with roughly eight minutes left in the second half. After a corner kick, there was a scramble in the box. Mark Johnston (Nelson, New Zealand) found the loose ball for the game-winning goal. The Saints host Barton College on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Saints Field in Gaffney, S.C. |
