LIMESTONE VS. NO. 15 FRANCIS MARION RESULTS

THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Limestone College goalkeeper James Tuohy (Levittown, N.Y.) and attackman A.J. Vaughn (Skaneateles, N.Y.) were named Conference Carolinas men’s lacrosse Players of the Week following their performances in the Saints’ 17-5 win over Adelphi on Saturday.

 

Tuohy earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after he anchored a Saints defense that only allowed seven goals against Adelphi in Limestone's 17-5 victory over the Panthers on Saturday. He faced 25 shots, recorded 12 saves and only allowed four goals in 72 minutes of work for a .750 save percentage. For the season, he posts a 4.40 goals against average, a .677 save percentage, and 42 saves.

 

Vaughn, who also received NCAA Division II Player of the Week award from Inside Lacrosse, recorded a season-high six goals and one assist for seven points in Limestone's stunning 17-5 win over Adelphi on Saturday. He also picked up two ground balls. Vaughn has started in every game for Limestone this season, recorded 14 goals and tallied six assists for 20 points.

 

The Saints hosts Millersville on March 12-13. Game time is slated for 2 p.m. on both days. The Patriots travel to Anderson, S.C., on March 11 at 3 p.m. to face Anderson University.
