LIMESTONE'S HAWORTH AND WIMS NAMED CONFERENCE CAROLINAS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK |
Thomasville, N.C.-- Limestone College’s Justin Haworth (Deer Park, N.Y.) and Spencer Wims (Waltham, Mass.) where named Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse Players of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Both players helped Limestone (3-0 overall/2-0 conference) to a 17-6 victory against Queens on Saturday. |
 Haworth earned Offensive Player of the Weeks honors after he scored six goals and tallied two assists for eight points during Saints' contest against the Royals. He also scooped up two ground balls. He has scored 13 goals in Limestone's three games this season. |
 Wims garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors. Wims helped Limestone had a game-high 8 ground balls and posted three caused turnovers during the Queens match. He also tallied an assist against the Royals. Wims has two goals and one assist for the season to go along with 11 ground balls. |
