MEN’S GOLF IN 9TH AT CONFERENCE CAROLINAS CHAMPIONSHIP |
CLEMMONS, N.C.—The Limestone College men’s golf team shot 305 in the opening round of the 2008 Conference Carolinas tournament to finish the day in ninth place. The 10-team tournament is being played at the par-71 Salem Glen Golf and Country Club and is hosted by Barton College. The Saints’ Kyle Scruggs shot a team-high 74 to tie for 11th place. Craig Parris is tied for 24th (77), Kyle Parker is tied for 33rd (79), and Brad Williams is 38th (80). Drew Sloan is tied for 38th (80). St. Andrews, Belmont Abbey, and Coker all scored 296 in the opening round to tie for first. Anderson University is fourth (297), followed by Mount Olive (298) and Barton (301).
