LIMESTONE MEN'S GOLF IN 3RD AFTER OPENING ROUND OF BMW INTERCOLLEGIATE

TIGERVILLE, S.C.— Limestone College's men's golf team scored 312 on the first day of competition at the BMW Collegiate held at the par-72 Cherokee Valley Golf Club. The Saints are in third place heading into Tuesday. The tournament is hosted by North Greenville University.

Southeastern University shot a team score of 304 to hold a one-stroke lead after the opening round. Anderson University is a close second at 305, while Limestone College (312), Cape Fear Community College (314), and the University of Mobile (314) round out the top five.

Cape Fear’s Steven Brame shot the low round of the day with a 69 to lead the pack. Matt Parzaile (Southeastern) is one-stroke back at 70. Kurt Owings (Anderson) currently occupies the third slot, while there is a three-way tie at fourth between Adam Sheriff (Anderson), Brad Williams (Limestone), and Nate Mosby (Southeastern), who all shot 73.

The Saints' Kyle Scruggs scored 76 and is tied for 10th place.

Second round action will begin Tuesday morning.
