LIMESTONE GOLF TAKES 13TH AT 18-TEAM TUSCULUM INVITATIONAL |
GREENEVILLE, Tenn.—The Limestone College men’s golf team finished 13th at the 18-team Tusculum Invitational on Sunday at the par-71, 6733-yard Link Hills Country Club. Limestone carded 309 at the one-day competition. Kyle Parker and Ben Ross were Limestone’s top finishers. Each golfer scored 76 to tie for 40th in the 99-golfer field. Kyle Scruggs finished tied for 53rd (77). Brad Williams and Craig Parris tied for 70th as they each carded 80. Shorter College won the event with a four-over par score of 288. Tournament-host Tusculum and Grand Valley State both shot 291 to tie for second. Carson-Newman was fourth (294) and Belmont University was fifth (297). Georgia Southwestern and Mars Hill tied for sixth with 299, while Walters State and Brevard tied for eighth with 302. Tiffin placed 10th with 304, followed by Tusculum’s Black team (307), Lincoln Memorial (308), Limestone (309), Newberry’s “B” team (312), Spartanburg Methodist (312), Tri-County Community College (315), USC Lancaster (315) and Virginia-Wise (325).
