GAFFNEY, S.C.—West Virginia State handed Limestone its seventh consecutive loss in baseball action on Tuesday afternoon at Bob Prevatte Field. Trailing 3-1 entering the ninth inning, WVSU scored five runs to win the game, 6-3. The Saints fall to 18-19 after today's result as West Virginia State improves to 7-12. Eric Workman (Ivydale, W. Va.) picked up the win after pitching the final four innings. He recorded five strikeouts and gave up four hits. Ryne Holstine (S. Charleston, W.Va.) pitched the first five innings with three strikeouts. Jordan Liette (Versailles, Ohio) took the loss for Limestone after giving up four hits and two earned runs in 1 2/3 innings of work. Thomas Fekete (Aiken, S.C.) pitched the first seven innings and posted four strikeouts. Brock White (Gaffney, S.C.) saw action in the final 1/3 inning and struck out one batter. The Saints’ Justin Moore (Mt. Holly, N.C.) hit 2-4 with 1 run scored. Zach Watkins (Albany, Ga.) was 2-5 at bat with an RBI and 1 run scored. Adam McSwain (Fallston, N.C.) also hit 2-4 with 2 doubles. West Virginia State’s Chase Day (Barboursville, W.Va.) was 1-4 with 2 RBIs, and Bo Darby (Logan, W. Va.) hit 2-5 with 2 RBIs.
