LADY SAINTS SOCCER INKS 6 |
GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone College head women’s soccer coach Tina Weaver has announced the signing of six recruits. Ashley and Kristin Alderin-Fleagle, Liz Donnelly, Vanessa Jarrett, Lura Carter, and Justine McCabe will join the Lady Saints for the fall 2008 season.
“The potential of this recruiting class is great,” stated Limestone Head Coach Tina Weaver. “They all have the ability to make a large impact on the 2008 season. All of these ladies are a pleasure to be around and have their priorities in line with the direction of this program. We look forward to having them on the pitch in the Royal and White.”
Ashley and Kristin Alderin-Fleagle hail from Kernersville, N.C., where they attended East Forsyth High School. Their parents are Tammy and Scott Fleagle. Both women were four-year varsity starters for their high school squads. |

Ashley, a midfielder, helped her Twin City Soccer Association teams to numerous tournament victories and helped her high school to the state semifinals in 2007. She was also a team captain for the Greensboro Soccer Club. She earned All-Conference and All-Region honors during her prep career. She played varsity soccer all four years. An honor roll student and National Honors Society member at East Forsyth High School, Ashley will major in biology.

Kristin, a goalkeeper, was also a four-year starter at East Forsyth High School. She was two-time all-conference honoree, received All-Region honors three times, earned All-State honors, and holds her high school’s record for career saves. She played a major role in the success of her Twin City Soccer Association and Greensboro Soccer Club teams. Kristin is a member of the National Honors Society and on the honor roll at her high school. She plans to study biology.

Donnelly was a four-year starter at Derry Area High School in Pennsylvania. She was a four-year letter winner and was team captain as a senior. Originally from Derry, Pa., Donnelly, a midfielder, is an honor roll student and will study Physical Education at the College. Her father is James Donnelly.

Jarrett comes to Limestone from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was a three-year varsity team member at Merivale High School and helped her club soccer team to an undefeated season to claim the U-21 division championship. She was a team captain for her high school squad. Jarrett also competed with the Norwalk soccer club. Her parents are Monika and Richard Jarrett. She will study English and history at Limestone.

Carter, from Tallahassee, Fla., is a transfer from the University of West Florida. She was a key player for the Argos, who was contenders on the national scene. She is a defender and will major in education. Carter helped in leading the Argonauts to a record 10 goals allowed for the 2006 season. Prior to UWF, Carter played with the Destin Wave, leading the team to a state final four appearance.

McCabe is a midfielder from Fergus, Ontario, Canada. She played for the Toronto Junior Lady Lynx soccer club and will play for the Toronto Lady Links of the Premier Development League this summer. McCabe was a two-year captain for the Toronto Junior Lady Links of the SYL, where she helped the team to a third-place finish in the league last season. She attended Centre Wellington District High School. She is the daughter of Kim and Greg McCabe. She plans to study psychology at Limestone.
