SAINTS WRESTLING SIGNS GOODALE

GAFFNEY, S.C.— Limestone College Head Wrestling Coach Ben Stehura has announced that Theran Goodale will join the Saints in the fall of 2008. Goodale, a native of Osage, Iowa, is currently ranked No. 1 in Iowa in the 140-pound weight class.  He is the first commitment the Saints have received this year and the first early commitment in the history of Limestone’s wrestling program. 

Goodale has had an impressive prep career at Osage High School.  He was an Asics Vaughn Junior National All-American in freestyle and has been nationally ranked.  He is a two-time conference champion, two-time sectional champion, and a two-time state qualifier.  As a junior, he posted a 48-2 mark while finishing third at 135 lbs. at the state tournament.  He has competed nationally for Team Iowa at the Cadet National Duals and for Team Minnesota at the Junior Olympics.  His overall prep career record heading into his senior season is 108-26.  In addition to wrestling, he also competed in football, track, and cross country. He also serves on his high school’s student council.     

Goodale is the son of Ron and Debbie Goodale.
