LIMESTONE WRESTLING GETS 40-7 WIN OVER KING ON SENIOR NIGHT |
GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone Saints wrestling team dominated for a 40-7 win over King College on Tuesday night at the Timken Center. With the victory, the Saints improve to 15-2-1 on the season. Tonight was also Senior Night for the Saints as the team recognized David Bush, Marquis Camp, Dusty Leutz, and Pat Seidel for their contributions to the team. Limestone took the first two matches of the night after King forfeited at 125-pounds and 133-pounds. Kwinten Brown recorded King’s first victory over the night with a 13-7 decision at 141 lbs. to put the score at 12-3. The Tornadoes’ Shane Funk closed in on Limestone’s lead with a 15-4 major decision at 149 lbs. to put the score at 12-7. The Saints dominated the remainder of the match. Mike Bush (Lakewoody, N.Y.) pinned his opponent in the 157-pound class, and Casey Bradley (Muncie, Ind.) got a technical fall at 165 lbs. Joby Schreckhise (Grottoes, Va./174 lbs.) and Dan Scanlan (Leesburg, Va.) also got major decisions for Limestone. David Bush (Lakewood, N.Y.) got a pin to win at 197-pounds, and Trey Moss (Red Bank, S.C.) battled it out the heavyweight class to get a 5-2 victory. Limestone travels to Jefferson City, Tenn., for the EdSouth Tournament hosted by Carson-Newman on Saturday, February 9. Limestone 40, King 7 |
