NO. 18 SAINTS WRESTLING FALLS TO NO. 8 PITTSBURG-JOHNSTOWN, 28-6

PEMBROKE, N.C.—The No. 18-ranked Saints wrestling team suffered a 28-6 loss to No. 8 University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Friday afternoon at the East Coast Duals hosted by the University of North Carolina-Pembroke at the English E. Jones Center. Limestone’s dual record slips to 11-2 as the Mountain Cats improve to 10-4.

The Saints faced some tough competition as the Mountain Cats had four nationally-ranked wrestlers in their roster. Limestone’s No. 5-ranked Dan Scanlan (Leesburg, Va.) recorded an upset against No. 2 Mike Corcetti in the 184-pound weight class with a 9-5 decision. Ian Barker (Summerville, S.C.) was the only other Saint to get a win as he defeated Derrek Bosso 7-6 at 125 pounds.

Limestone will take on Kutztown at 9 a.m. tomorrow and Shippensburg at 1 p.m.
