LIMESTONE RALLIES TO BEAT ANDERSON

ANDERSON, S.C. – Limestone spotted Anderson a 12-3 lead then rallied to beat the Trojans, 28-15 in a dual meet Friday night at the Abney Center.

The Saints, 10-1 in dual meets, won the four heaviest weight classes to pull out the victory.

Anderson won three straight bouts, one by forfeit, to take a 12-3 lead with six bouts remaining.

After an injury default cut its lead to 12-9, Anderson got three points back when Trevor Sanford held on for a 2-1 victory over Casey Bradley (Muncie, Ind.).

From that point, the Saints took control. Joby Schreckhise (Grottoes, Va.) recorded a decision at 174, Dan Scanlan (Leesburg, Va.) scored a major decision at 184, Dave Bush (Lakewood, N.Y.) got a pin at 197, and Trey Moss (Red Bank, S.C.) picked up the final six points at 285 with a forfeit.

Anderson is now 3-12 in dual meets.

The Saints host Belmont Abbey on Thursday, January 17 at 7 p.m. at the Timken Center in Gaffney.
