LIMESTONE WOMEN’S GOLF IN 15TH AT KIAWAH INTERCOLLEGIATE |
Intercollegiate on Saturday to end the day in 15th place in the 18-team field. The tournament, hosted by Tusculum College, is being held at the par-72, 5800-yard Cougar Point Golf Course. Top-ranked Florida Southern fired an opening round 294 to lead the field. The Mocs were led by Marianne Andersson’s one-under par 71, which leads the individual competition. Florida Southern holds a one-shot lead over second place Nova Southeastern (295) and seven shots better than defending Intercollegiate champion Rollins (301). Lynn is fourth with 313, while West Florida posted a 317 and is fifth. Belmont Abbey is sixth with 318, followed by Savannah College of Art and Design (328), Wingate (332), Berry (332), Pfeiffer (334), Armstrong Atlantic (336), Tusculum (337), Newberry (344), Lenoir-Rhyne (351), Limestone (358), Lincoln Memorial (364), Mount Olive (364), UNC Pembroke (378). Samantha Allison (Jeanette, Pa.) was Limestone’s top finisher as she carded 87 to tie for 55th. Katie Clayton (Lyman, S.C.) is tied for 61st (88), Ansley Smith (Blythewood, S.C.) is tied for the 67th (90), and Miranda Van Arsdale (Hendersonville, N.C.) is tied for 72nd (93). Sarah Milner (Greenville, S.C.) is tied for 82nd (101). The Lady Saints will continue play at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on Sunday. 15 Limestone College 358 |
