GRUBIC NAMED SWIMMER OF THE WEEK |
Grubic led the Saints to a third-place finish in the 10-team field at the Savannah College of Art & Design Invitational this past weekend. The sophomore took home two first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 backstrokes. Her times of 58.73 and 2:10.64 met the NCAA Division II “B” qualification standard and were just off the “A” standard of 58.49 and 2:10.08 respectively. Grubic also swam on all five relays, which each finished in third place. The Saints travel to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for the Bob Mowerson Swim Meet at the International Swimming Hall of Fame on January 5 at 3 p.m. |

Limestone College’s Marija Grubic (Split, Croatia) was named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference’s Women’s Swimmer of the Week on Thursday. This is the second time season that Grubic has earned the weekly award.
