UPDATED RESULTS FROM DAY 2 OF BLUEGRASS MOUNTAIN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- The Limestone swim teams had a solid showing in Thursday’s finals and preliminaries at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship. Only the top 16 from the preliminary events advanced to the finals this evening.

Limestone had several top finishers in Wednesday's finals. In the women’s 200 free relay, Limestone’s women’s team of Jessica Young, Jenna Arington, Marija Grubic, and Donna Wickham were fourth with 1:41.30. Jessi Sullivan finished 11th in the 200 individual medley (2:19.81). Wickham, Carmen Adams, Sullivan, and Grubic were fourth in the 400 medley relay (4.01.27) as they broke the old school record. Arington was 11th in the 50 free finals with a time of 25.43. Wickham got a NCAA "A" Cut time in the 100 back (56.85).

The Saints 200 free relay team of Craig Jordens, Chris Harrigan, Anders Melin, and Goran Majlat took first with a time of 1:21.90 to set a new school and meet record.Ryan Mead was Limestone’s top finisher in the 500 free (4:47.39) as he took fourth. His time was also a new Limestone record. Chad McKenzie and Matt Parsonage finished third and fourth in the 200 IM with times of 1:53.69 and 1:54.52, respectively. In the 50 free, Jordens was second (20.56) and Majlat was third (20.64). Harrigan got a "B" cut time in the 50 free with a time of 20.96. Melin, McKenzie, Parsonage, and Jordens took second in the men’s 400 medley relay (3:24.34) while establishing a new school record.

In this morning's preliminaries, the Limestone women’s 200 free relay made it back into the final heat with a time of 1:44.47. Shelley Hutcheson, Jessi Sullivan, Ines Speranda, and  Jenna Arrington all contributed in the record.

The men's 200 free relay is in first place going into the finals tonight. The team broke the meet record, set a new school record and made an NCAA A cut with a time of  1:22.82. The relay consisted of Craig Jordens, Chris Harrigan, Anders Melin, and Goran Majlat. 

Carmen Adams is in 12th place for the 500 free with a time of 5:27.20, and Brandy McCauley just missed making finals she placed 19th place with a time of 5:42.30.

Mead is currently in 4th place for the 500 free with a time of 4:48.78, Zeljko Karaman is in 9th place with a time of 4:53.07, and Adam Caldwell just missed the finals tonight he place 17th place with a time of 5:03.21. Lee Boone placed 31st in the 500 free with a time of 5:40.63.

In the women's 200 individual medley, Jessi Sullivan is seated 15th with a time of 2:24.65, and Rachael Gulledge is in 16th place with a time of 2:27.10

Matt Parsonage is in the 2nd place position for the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:56.58, while Chad McKenzie is 4th with a time of 1:57.31, and Ben Williams finished 22nd with a time of 2:07.71.

 Jenna Arrington is 14th in the 50 free with a time of 25.48, Marija Grubic finished 17th with a time of 25.62, Donna Wickham finished 21st with a time of 25.80, and  Jessica Young finished 22nd with a time of 25.82. Renee Pouchet finished 29th with a time of 26.82, and Madalyn Bernard finished 38th with a time of 30.03.

Jordens is 3rd for tonight in the 50 free with a time of 20.56 which is a new Limestone record. Majlat is 4th with a time of 20.64 which also got him an NCAA A cut. Harrigan is in 9th place with a time of 21.47, and Brandon Liberator finished 40th with a time of 24.78.

The women's 400 medley relay of Marija Grubic, Renee Pouchet, Molly Reichwald, Jenna Arrington are in the 7th place position for tonight with a time of 4:18.28.

The men's 400 medley relay team of Goran Majlat, Zeljko Karaman, Linvern Lim, and Chris Harrigan.
is in the 1st place position for tonight’s finals with a time of 3:31.55.
