LIMESTONE RESULTS FROM BOB MOWERSON SWIM MEET

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.-- The Limestone College men's and women's swim teams finished 6th of 18 in the combined team event at the Bob Mowerson Swim Meet on Sunday. The Saints finished behind four NCAA Division I teams and one Division II squad.

Craig Jordens (Cape Town, South Africa) won the 72nd annual Bob Mowerson Award for his performance in the 100 freestyle, and was named Swimmer of the Meet.

Two swimmers earned NCAA "B" cut times: Jordens (100 freestyle) and Chad McKenzie (Durban, South Africa/200 Individual Medley).

"This was a real effort," pointed out Limestone Head Coach Allen Gilchrest. "Our team worked together for an excellent performance. We are proud of the way our team raced against some great schools, including eight NCAA Division I squads."

The meet was held at the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

The Saints will host the Savannah College of Art & Design on Saturday, January 19 at 2 p.m. at the Timken Center in Gaffney, S.C.
