SWIMMERS REPORT ON DAY 4 OF FLORIDA TRIP

The weather is getting nicer and nicer as we continue on through the week. The sun actually came out and it keeps getting warmer as the day progresses. This morning was different from the normal 2 hour work out. We did about 1 hour of training in the international pool, and then most of us headed over to the beach to do the 1 mile open water swim.

The water was freezing, and there was jellyfish everywhere, but we knew that this was something that we don’t normally get to do, so we were very eager to jump in and get going. Despite sun burns and the occasional jellyfish stings we are training really hard and having a lot of fun getting to know each other better.

We are going to try to go out and eat tonight as a team, or order in and hang out. After dinner, we will go train for another 2 hours at the pool. We are preparing for the big invitational meet against 6 other teams. All of us are really excited to see how fast we can go and how we will hold up against so many other good teams. Hopefully, the warm weather will continue to hold out for us as we continue to work hard and having fun.
