SWIMMERS REPORT ON DAY 2 OF FLORIDA TRIP |
Today we started off with a brunch with the rest of the swimmers from other universities and colleges that are on their training trips here as well. It was fun to hang out and share experiences with the rest of the swimmers that are here. After that, we had a tour around the International Swimmin Hall of Fame. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and he made everything very interesting. We learned a lot about history of swimming, and about stuff we didn't know about before. It was very enthralling to see how swimming developed as the years past by. We spent some time at the beach after that, played touch rugby, tanned and played in the waves in the ocean. It was a nice team bonding time. Although the weather was very nice today and we wanted to spend the whole day at the beach, we had to go to practice. The practice was pretty hard. We all worked on our events and distances. Today was specialized on technique and turns. It helped us a lot because Coach was really trying to focus on our weak spots. When the practice was done, we went to our hotel to get some rest because we knew that we had another hard practice later in the night. The second practice was on short course yards. That was a really hard practice because we were focusing on our endurance and speed. After that practice we where all tired but satisfied that we did a good job and knew that we improved. It was really good knowing that a bed was waiting for us after a high quality day.
