LIMESTONE HAS TERRIFIC TURNOUT FOR SPRING SOCCER CLINIC

The Limestone College men’s and women’s soccer teams held a free youth soccer clinic which drew over 50 participants.  The clinic was provided for children ages 5-14 and all playing levels.  The men’s and women’s soccer players of Limestone taught various soccer skills to the youth.

The Limestone soccer players instructed the clinic participants in dribbling, defending, heading, and shooting.

“Your teams did a great job, again!  Tatum thoroughly enjoyed it and I heard nothing but positive comments from the rest of the parents,” stated Jessica Goins of Limestone College.

This clinic is an annual event that the Limestone teams provide for the communities of Gaffney and Cherokee County in order to share the soccer experience.

“I brought my club team out here and they loved it.  I really enjoy coaching for Cherokee County Club Soccer and know that my team appreciated seeing me in my playing environment, not just at the club fields,” stated Limestone midfielder Rebekka Hagarman.

“Our student-athletes did a fantastic job.  They went above and beyond our expectations and got personal with the young players.  We really enjoy this time of the year as it gives us another opportunity to give back to Gaffney and Cherokee County.  We appreciate everyone’s interest and support in our soccer teams and athletics department,” commented Lady Saints Head Coach Tina Weaver.
