MEN’S SOCCER HELPS OUT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY |
One group of soccer players painted walls and ceilings in one home, while the other group finished up trim and base moldings in another house. “We were very happy to be working with Habitat for Humanity again and helping to give back to our local community,” said Saints head coach Eric Alsop. “This is the second time we’ve worked with this organization, and we plan to continue working with them in the future. Our players really enjoy these types of projects, and it helps bring us closer together as a team.” Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat has built more than 250,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter. HFHI was founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller along with his wife, Linda. For more information, visit www.habitat.org. |
