LIMESTONE LACROSSE SWEEPS CONFERENCE CAROLINAS WEEKLY AWARDS |
THOMASVILLE, N.C.— Limestone College’s Brendan Storrier (LaFayette, N.Y.) and Matt Pinder (Centreville, Md.) were named Conference Carolinas men’s lacrosse Players of the Week, as released by the league office on Wednesday. These two players helped the Saints to victories over Lees-McRae and Wheeling Jesuit to open the 2008 season.

Storrier earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after he recorded 13 points from 7 goals and 6 assists in his first two games this season. He helped the Saints to a 22-3 conference win over Lees-McRae last week as he scored five goals and tallied an assist. Storrier also helped the Saints to an 18-6 victory against Wheeling Jesuit on Sunday as he assisted on five goals while scoring two of his own. He also had four ground balls last week.
Pinder was named Defensive Player of the Week as he anchored a Limestone defense that only allowed three goals in the Saints' season opening win against Lees-McRae. He also scored a goal and recorded three ground balls in Limestone's 18-6 win against Wheeling Jesuit on Sunday.
