SAINTS BASKETBALL LOSES TO LEES-MCRAE

BANNER ELK, N.C.—The Limestone College men’s basketball team lost to Lees-McRae 73-57 on Wednesday night. Lees-McRae improves to 4-14 in the conference (5-20 overall), as the Saints fall to 4-13 in league play (7-16 overall).

Limestone’s Andrae Franklin (Fort Pierce, Fla.) had 10 rebounds. Shawn Creal (Spartanburg, S.C.) had 15 points, going 5-for-7 from behind the arc. Marques Williams (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 11 points.

Raysean Harrison led Lees-McRae with 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Aaron Woodacre chipped in 16 points.

Limestone trailed 36-24 at halftime, but the Saints cut Lees-McRae’s lead to two points (47-45) with 8:59 remaining in the game. Limestone couldn’t keep its rally going, and the Bobcats outscored the Saints 37-33 in the second half for the 73-57 win.

Limestone travels to Mount Olive, N.C., on Saturday, February 23 to face Mount Olive College at 7:30 p.m.
