LIMESTONE EDGED BY BARTON 54-52


WILSON, N.C.-- The Limestone College Saints were tied with Barton College with moments left in the game, but a 15-foot jumper by the Bulldogs' Aaron Suggs with 1.1 seconds left gave the defending NCAA Division II National Champions the 54-52 win. Barton improves to 6-1 in Conference Carolinas play after tonight's victory (10-4 overall), as Limestone slips to 0-5 in the league (2-8 overall).

Limestone had a 27-24 lead at halftime, but Barton had the 30-25 advantage in the second half for the win.

Marques Williams (Rochester, N.Y.) led the Saints with 18 points.Bobby Grier (Powder Springs, Ga.) had a team-high seven rebounds and four assists.

Bartons' Brian Leggett had a double-double with 14 boards and 10 points. L.J. Dunn paced the Bulldogs with 12 points.

Limestone travels to Due West, S.C., on Tuesday for a conference game against Erskine at 7:30 p.m.
