LIMESTONE RECOGNIZES HUGH CLAYTON

GAFFNEY, S.C.— Limestone College recognized alumnus Hugh Clayton  at Saturday night’s basketball contest between the Saints and Belmont Abbey. Clayton donated money towards the purchase of the new Saint Bernard mascot costume and was present for the unveiling of the new costume.

“The Limestone College cheerleaders are so thankful for Mr. Clayton’s generous donation,” said Head Cheerleading Coach Deana Borders. “We are so grateful to have support from an alumnus who wants to help spread the Saints spirit.”

“The new mascot outfit is very nice and will be a great help during the basketball games to get the crowd behind our teams,” Borders continued. “The cheerleaders have been working with the new mascot, Lauren Barker, to help her be an entertaining asset at Limestone events.”

Clayton served as the College’s first mascot.
