LIMESTONE BASEBALL CELEBRATES 20TH SEASON |
The Saints baseball program first took to the field in 1988. Gaylord was the first coach in the history of Saints’ baseball and was responsible for organizing the team from the beginning. Limestone also remembered Jack Perry, a pitcher for the Saints and a 1990 graduate of the College, with the retirement of his #35 jersey. Jack’s father, Gaylord, and his wife, Judi, and their children Gaylord Jackson Perry II and Megan D. Perry were present for the jersey retirement ceremony. Dr. Walt Griffin presented the Perry family with the framed #35 jersey. A replica jersey will be on display at Bob Prevatte field on the back side of the third base and home dugout. Limestone College would like to thank Gaylord Perry, Judi Perry, Gaylord Jackson Perry III, Megan Perry, and the following baseball alumni for attending today’s ceremony: Troy “Goose” Gagliardo |
