SAINTS SWIMMING COMPLETES 1ST SESSION AT BLUEGRASS MOUNTAIN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS; LADY SAINTS IN 3RD WHILE MEN ARE 4TH |
CHARLOTTE, N.C.—The Limestone College swim teams finished up their first session of competition at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships on Wednesday night at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center. The only event of the evening was the 1000-yard freestyle with the to 16 finishers in each race scoring points for their squads. The Limestone women are in third place with 17 points after Wednesday's event, and the men are fourth with 17 points. Molly Reichwald was the top finisher in the women’s 1000 free for Limestone as she took eighth with a time of 11:03.76. Ines Speranda (Split, Croatia) was 11th (11:14.60), and Brandy McCauley (Augusta, Ga.) was 18th *11:56.74). For the men, Zeljko Karaman (Split, Croatia) and Ryan Mead (Lexington, S.C.) took ninth and tenth, respectively, with times of 10:09.28 and 10:11.96. Adam Caldwell (Marietta, Ga.) was 16th (10:40.16). The Saints continue competition at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships tomorrow. On February 14-15, the morning sessions will begin at 10 a.m. with the evening sessions starting at 6 p.m. Saturday's session will start at 5 p.m. |
