| LIMESTONE RESULTS FROM NCAA REGIONAL; CONANT EARNS ALL-REGION HONORS |
WINGATE, N.C.-- The Limestone College cross country teams competed at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday. The meet was hosted by Wingate University. The Lady Saints finished 12th in the 16-team field as the men finished 11th of 18. Matt Conant (Norwich, N.Y.) became the second runner in the history of Limestone’s program to earn All-Region honors as he finished 15th with a time of 33:56. Queens University won the men's event as Lees-McRae took first on the women's side. Limestone's Robert Anderson (Erie, Pa.) finished 62nd (36:23) among the 126 competitors. Zach McKeone (Marietta, Ga.) was 77th (37:11) and Kevin Eagle (Gaffney, S.C.) was 85th (38:08). Tres Valentino (Bluffton, S.C.) was 93rd (39:03), while Matt Hall (Hamptonville, N.C.) was 97th (39:23). Curtis Morrison (Shelby, N.C.) was 106th (40:38). Alex Bonn (Maryville, Wash.) paced the Lady Saints with her time of 25:13 to finish 19th. Molly Reichwald (Atlanta, Ga.) was 50th (26:42), as Jonelle Jackson (Gaffney, S.C.) was 63rd (27:19). Lauren Barker (Summerville, S.C.) was 65th (27:21), Melissa Riesett (Annapolis, Md.) was 79th (28:14), and Heather Nicholson (Union, S.C.) finished 91st (29:20). There were 115 runners in the women's event. |
