WINGATE, N.C.—Limestone College’s women’s cross country team finished ninth out of 15 teams at the Wingate Invitational on Saturday morning. The men’s cross country team took 10th in the 14-team field.
Molly Reichwald (Atlanta, Ga.) was Limestone's top finisher on the women's side with a time of 26:12 to place 19th in the 6K race. Alex Bonn (Marysville, Wash.) was 28th, Melissa Riesett (Annapolis, Md.) was 59th, Jonelle Jackson (Gaffney, S.C.) finished 63rd, and Kelly Davidson (Kingston, Tenn.) was 85th.
Matt Conant (Norwich, N.Y.) got his third consecutive top 10 finish as he took eighth with a time of 35:01 in the men’s 10K race. Robert Anderson (Erie, Pa.) was 44th, Matt Hall (Hamptonville, N.C.) was 74th, Curtis Morrison (Shelby, N.C.) was 85th, Jermichael Hampton (Charlotte, N.C.) was 88th, Tres Valentino (Bluffton, S.C.) took 98th, Kevin Eagle (Gaffney, S.C.) was 98th, and Aaron Watkins (Blythewood, S.C.) finished 108th.
The Saints host the Limestone Invitational on Saturday, September 22 at the Limestone College campus in Gaffney. The men’s race will begin at 8:15 a.m. with the women’s race to follow at 9 a.m.
