LIMESTONE MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED NO. 10 IN REGION

NEW ORLEANS, La.—The Limestone College men’s cross country team is ranked No. 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast Region Pre-Season poll, as announced today. This is the first time in program history that the Saints have been included in the regional rankings.

St. Andrews is the top ranked team in the poll. The Knights are last year’s Southeast Regional Cross Country champion, finished 23rd at the Division II Cross Country Nationals, their best ever finish at the NCAA meet. Mars Hill is second, Anderson is third, and Lees-McRae and St. Augustine’s round out the top five.

Last season, the Saints took 11th place at the regional meet. Limestone returns several runners from last year’s lineup and has added many talented recruits as the team looks to have its best season yet.

The Limestone men’s and women’s cross country teams begin competition on Saturday at the Lander Invitational at the Connie Maxwell Home in Greenwood, S.C., at 8:30 a.m.
