Limestone College cross country runners Brent Clausing (Miamisburg, Ohio) and Dino Montagna (Erie, Pa.) were named Academic All-Americans by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Clausing, a sophomore, also earned Academic All-American honors as a freshman. Montagna, a junior, had three top 10 finishes for the Saints this season while Clausing had five. To qualifying for Division II All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 (on 4.0 scale) and finish in the top 30 at the regional cross country championships. The Limestone College men’s and women’s cross country squads were named All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCA on February 2 for their outstanding work in the classroom. In order for the team to qualify, the student-athletes on the NCAA eligibility list must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
