CATAWBA BEATS LIMESTONE 2-0

GAFFNEY, S.C.-- The Limestone College women's soccer team lost a tough non-conference game to Catawba College, 2-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Saints Field. The Indians climb to 11-4-2 as Limestone stands at 6-8-3 overall.

Rochelle Poncin (Bradenton, Fla.) was credited with Catawba's first goal in the 14th minute. Alexandra Beshk (Mission Viejo, Calif.) sealed the win with her goal in the 87th minute.

Catawba outshot the Lady Saints 13-5, and had 9 corner kicks to Limestone’s 2.

Brittany Clark (York, S.C.) had five saves for Limestone as Kathleen Blake (Greensboro, N.C.) recorded two for the Indians.

Limestone hosts Mount Olive on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Saints Field in Gaffney. Catawba hosts Brevard on October 27 at 3 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C.
