LADY SAINTS SKIP OVER FLEET

DUE WEST, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s soccer team defeated Erskine College 3-2 in a Conference Carolinas match on Wednesday night. Limestone never relinquished its lead as the team climbs to 5-2-3 in the conference and 6-7-3 overall. The Fleet fall to 2-5-1 in the league and 3-9-1 overall.

“It was a great team effort for the win tonight,” said Limestone Head Coach Tina Weaver. “All 20 players contributed to get things done.”

The Lady Saints scored their first goal in the opening minutes of the contest. Bekki Hagarman (Tallahassee, Fla.) took a corner kick. Kristina Silva (Pickering, Ontario, Canada) redirected the ball to Jill Pratt (Lee Center, N.Y.) who buried the ball for her second goal of the season. Pratt went on to score again as she rebounded Silva’s shot to put Limestone up 2-1 heading in the second half.

Madi Dulisse (Burlington, Wisc.) gave the Lady Saints the win with her goal in the second half.

Limestone had a 14-7 advantage on shots.

Limestone hosts Catawba on Tuesday at Saints Field. Kick off is set for 3 p.m.
