LADY SAINTS PICK UP 2-0 WIN AGAINST CONVERSE

SPARTANBURG, S.C.— Limestone College recorded its fourth shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over Converse College in women’s soccer action on Wednesday. With today’s Conference Carolinas win, the Lady Saints improve to 3-2-2 in the league standings (4-6-2 overall) as Converse falls to 0-6 in conference play (1-11 overall).

Both of Limestone’s goals came in the second half. Madi Dulisse (Burlington, Wisc.) scored her first career goal in the 52nd minute as Alexis Brothers (Charleston, S.C.) got the assist. Kristina Silva (Pickering, Ontario, Canada) gave the Lady Saints their 2-0 lead in the 60th minute off a pass from Amanda Lear (North Charleston, S.C.)

Goalkeeper Brittany Clark (York, S.C.) had two saves for Limestone in the first 80 minutes. Diane Boyce (Toccoa, Ga.) finished out the game for the Lady Saints and recorded one save.

Limestone held a solid 17-5 advantage on shots and a 7-2 advantage on corner kicks.

The Lady Saints host Anderson University in conference contest in Gaffney on Saturday at 2 p.m.
