LADY SAINTS AND KNIGHTS BATTLE TO 0-0 TIE

LAURINBURG, N.C.—The Limestone College women’s soccer team battled through 110 minutes of scoreless soccer to tie with Conference Carolinas-rival St. Andrews 0-0 on Saturday afternoon. Today’s result marks the second draw this season for both squads.

The Lady Saints stand at 2-2-2 in conference play and 3-6-2 overall as the Lady Knights are 1-2-2 in the conference and 2-5-2 overall.

Limestone had several opportunities to score, but couldn’t connect for a goal. The Lady Saints held an 11-9 advantage on shots, but St. Andrews edged the visitors on corner kicks, 3-2.

Lady Saint goalkeeper Brittany Clark (York, S.C.) and SAPC keeper Garrison Burton each recorded three saves.

This was the second shutout for the Lady Saints this season.

Limestone travels to Spartanburg, S.C., on Wednesday to face Converse College in a conference contest at 5 p.m.
