LADY SAINTS HANDS LEES-MCRAE 3-1 LOSS

GAFFNEY, S.C.- Lee Cribb (Spartanburg, S.C.) had two goals to lead the Limestone College women's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Conference Carolinas-rival Lees-McRae on Tuesday afternoon at Saints Field. Limestone climbs to 2-1-1 in the conference play (3-5-1 overall) as the Lady Bobcats stand at 1-2 in Conference Carolinas play (2-6 overall).

Maribeth Novak (Homer Glen, Ill.) put Lees-McRae on the board with a goal in the second minute off a pass from Katherine Smith (Banner Elk, N.C.). Lady Saint Lee Cribb got the equalizer with 25 minutes left in the first half. She scored again off a cross from the far side by Kristina Silva (Pickering, Ontario, Canada). Alexis Brothers (Charleston, S.C.) gave Limestone the 3-1 lead in the 40th minute on a fast break.

Lees-McRae had a scoring chance late in the second half, but Limestone goalkeeper Diane Boyce thwarted the attempt.

The Lady Saints held a 19-6 advantage on shots and a 3-1 edge on corner kicks.

Lady Bobcat goalkeeper Brittany Bolton (Roanoke, Va.) had 10 saves during the match, while Limestone starter Brittany Clark (York, S.C.) had two.

Limestone travels to face Belmont Abbey on Saturday in Belmont, N.C., at 2 p.m.
