LADY SAINTS SOCCER SUFFERS 2-0 LOSS TO UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA-HUNTSVILLE

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s soccer team lost to the University of Alabama-Huntsville 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Saints Field. The Chargers stand at 1-0 after today’s result as Limestone falls to 0-2.

Both of UAH’s goals came in the first half. Ina Wam Bjorklid (Oslo, Norway) scored off a pass by Hanna Schuermann (Waterloo, Ill.) just two minutes into play. Lindsay Lee (Vernon, British Columbia, Canada) scored her teams’ second goal in the 41st minute.

Lady Saint goalkeeper Diane Boyce (Toccoa, Ga.) had one save in the first half, and Brittany Clarke (York, S.C.) had four in the second. Charger goalkeeper Annika Mehrtens (Carbondale, Ill.) recorded one save for the match.

Limestone travels to the Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville, Ga., on Wednesday, August 29 to take on North Georgia College and State University at 6:30 p.m.
