LIMESTONE WRESTLING BEATS THE CITADEL, 25-16 |
Limestone went down 3-0 after losing in the 125-pound division, but Brent Clausing (Miamisburg, Ohio) picked up a 9-1 major decision in the 133-pound weight class to give Limestone the 4-3 lead. The Citadel led 10-4 after getting a major decision and a decision in the next two matches. The Saints’ Mikel Bush (Lakewood, N.Y./157 lbs.) pinned Keith Koziel at 3:42 to tie the score 10-10. Limestone’s Case Bradley (Muncie, Ind./165 lbs.), Joby Schreckhise (Grottoes, Va./174 lbs.), Dan Scanlan (Leesburg, Va./184 lbs.), and David Bush (Lakewood, N.Y./197 lbs.) had wins to bring the score up to 25-10. The Citadel gained six points in the day’s final contest in the heavyweight class, but the Saints marched away with the 25-16 win. “I’m very happy with the performances of the guys today,” said Limestone Head Coach Ben Stehura. “This was a big win for us against a solid program.
