LIMESTONE WRESTING RANKED NATIONALLY FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY

EDMOND, Okla.—The Limestone College wrestling team achieved its first national ranking in school history as the Saints are rated at No. 17 in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches’ Association Pre-Season poll released on Tuesday.

Limestone is entering its fourth season of competition with high hopes. In 2007-08, the Saints return two national qualifiers: Brent Clausing (Miamisburg, Ohio/133 lbs.) who redshirted the 2006-07 season, and Trey Moss (Red Bank, S.C./285 lbs.) also returning are regional place-winners Ian Barker (Summerville, S.C./125 lbs.) and Mikel Bush (Lakewood, N.Y./157 lbs.) All ten starters are back from last year, including two redshirts from 2006-07: former East Region place-winner Joby Schreckhise (Grottos, Va.) at 174 pounds and Joe Federspiel (Greenville, S.C.) at 141 pounds. The Saints are looking to combine these veterans with a group of talented freshmen to create a dominating lineup.

The Saints begin their season on Saturday, November 10 as Limestone travels to Pembroke, N.C., for the Braves Classic at 8:30 a.m.
