LIMESTONE WRESTLERS TRAIN WITH NATION’S BEST |
Five members of the Limestone College wrestling team trained with some of the world’s best wrestlers at U.S. Wrestling’s training facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., on July 29-August 5. The trip was organized by Limestone assistant wrestling coach Trent Goodale and Sarah McMann. Dusty Leutz participated in the Greco National Camp. He qualified for this opportunity by finishing fourth at the University Nationals. Trey Moss, Joey Federspiel, Matt Hall, Dustin Baynes, and Leutz assisted with the U.S. Women’s National Team training camp as they wrestling with some of the best women wrestlers in the country. These athletes also had an opportunity to work with Terry Steiner, the women’s national team head coach, who is one of the best technical coaches in the nation. Kristie Morano, an eight-time world medalist and two-time world champion, opened her house to the Saints during their stay in Colorado. Ron and Deb Goodale also played host to the Saints for a night on their return trip to South Carolina. In addition to assisting with the national team camp, Moss, Federspiel, Hall, Baynes, Lutze, and Goodale enjoyed the Colorado scenery by camping out and climbing Pike’s Peak. |
