LIMESTONE WRESTLING LOSES UNC-PEMBROKE 24-19

PEMBROKE, N.C.-- The Saints wrestling squad was defeated by UNC-Pembroke on Thursday night, 24-19. Limestone’s dual record falls to 2-6 while the Braves improve to 4-4.

Matt Hall (Hamptonville, N.C.) got Limestone off to a good start in the 125-pound weight class as he pinned Adam Dedmon at 6:22, but the Braves answered with five wins to gain the lead. Todd Neptune (Concord, Ohio) edged the Braves’ Aaron Lynch, 4-2, in the 194-pound category. Limestone’s Dan Scanlan (Leesburg, Va.) put up a 13-1 major decision over Justin McEntire in the 184-pound weight class. Trey Moss (Red Bank, S.C.) also picked up a win by forfeit, as Eric Stancil was forced to withdraw an injury in the second period.

Limestone travels to Johnstown, Pa., to compete in the East Coast Duals on Friday and Saturday.
