LADY SAINTS LACROSSE ANNOUNCES TEAM CAPTAINS

Limestone College Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach Scott Tucker has announced that Marissa Pesce (West Babylon, N.Y.), Summer Ferraro (East Setauket, N.Y.), Erin Cavanaugh (Ellicott City, Md.), and Melissa Howard (Ferndale, Md.) will be the Lady Saints’ captains for the spring 2008 season.

“I feel that each captain brings something unique to the leadership role,” said Head Coach Scott Tucker. “I have the utmost confidence in the captains’ abilities to work within our system and look forward to our success on and off the field this spring.”

All four players are regulars in the Lady Saints lineup, and have helped the team to the conference regular season championship each year they have been at Limestone. These captains all played for the 2006 squad that advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Division II National Tournament and won the program’s first conference tournament title.
