LIMESTONE WOMEN’S LACROSSE RELEASES SPRING 2008 SCHEDULE

Limestone College Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach Scott Tucker has released the team’s spring 2008 schedule. The Lady Saints face a tough slate in 2008, facing five of the nation’s top teams, as they look to secure their fifth straight conference regular season title and earn a bid to the NCAA Division II national tournament.

Limestone will open the season against NCAA Division I Davidson College on February 13 in Gaffney, S.C. The Lady Saints’ Conference Carolinas schedule will be highlighted by matches against No. 7-ranked Pfeiffer, the defending conference tournament champions, and No. 9 Queens. The Lady Saints host No. 3 West Chester, 2007 NCAA Division II national runner-up, on March 9 at Saints Field. Limestone plays another 2007 NCAA tournament semifinalist, No. 5 Lock Haven, on March 15 in Gaffney.

The Lady Saints will also host the 2008 Conference Carolinas tournament on April 19-20. This is the fifth consecutive season Limestone College has been the site of the women’s lacrosse conference championship.
