NO. 3 LIMESTONE GETS 15-4 WIN AGAINST NEW HAVEN

GAFFNEY, S.C.—Seven Lady Saints lacrosse players scored in No. 3 Limestone’s 15-4 win over New Haven on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Saints improve to 7-1 for the season with the win.

Limestone had a 8-4 lead at halftime and outscored the visitors 7-0 in the second half for the win. The Lady Saints held a 29-16 advantage on shots and a 22-15 advantage on ground balls. New Haven won 11 draw controls compared to LC’s 10.

Katie Ilott (Brooklin, Ontario, Canada), Lauryn Wise (Pasadena, Md.), and Kelly Lickert (Penn Yan, N.Y.) each scored three goals for Limestone. Melissa Howard (Ferndale, Md.) and Terri George (Jordan, N.Y.) both had two goals, while Shea Farrell (Blue Point, N.Y.) had one.

Howard and Lickert had three assists each, while Renee Albro (Purcellville, Va.), George, Ilott, and Kelly Oterson (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) tallied one assist.

Ilott had six draw controls for Limestone as George got three. Lauryn Wise had five ground balls. Goalkeeper Erin Cavanaugh (Ellicott City, Md.) had eight saves.

Brigid Brady, Kristine Lambracht, Traci Cornwell, and Sarah LeGoff scored goals for New Haven. Mallory Ferrandiz and Sarah LeGoff both had four draw controls. Goalkeeper Alison Wagner posted 10 saves for the Chargers.

The Lady Saints hosts Lock Haven next Saturday at 3 p.m. at Saints Field in Gaffney.
