NO. 4 LIMESTONE GETS 19-4 WIN OVER PRESBYTERIAN IN WOMEN’S LACROSSE ACTION

CLINTON, S.C.-- The Limestone College women’s lacrosse team got its fourth straight win as it defeated Presbyterian 19-2 on Sunday evening. The Lady Saints’ record now stands at 4-0 for the spring and Presbyterian falls to 2-4.

Kelly Lickert (Penn Yan, N.Y.) had four goals and two assists for Limestone, while Marissa Pesce (West Babylon, N.Y.) had four goals, and Melissa Howard (Ferndale, Md.) scored two goals and tallied three assists. Eight more Lady Saints scored in the win.

Erin Cavanaugh (Elliott City, Md.) had six saves for Limestone.

Limestone out shot the Blue Hose 35-10, and had the edge on ground balls, 24-18. The Lady Saints also won 17 of the game’s 25 draw controls.

Limestone returns to action on Tuesday when the team hosts Regis at Saints Field in Gaffney, S.C., at 4 p.m.
