CLAYTON FINISHES SECOND AT LENOR-RHYNE MYRTLE BEACH INTERCOLLEGIATE; LADY SAINTS TAKE 10TH

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.-- Limestone golfer Katie Clayton carded a two-day score of 148 (73-75) to tie with the University of Montevallo's Morgan Bell at the conclusion of the Lenoir-Rhyne/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on Tuesday. Bell walked away with medalist honors after winning the playoff. As a team, the Lady Saints finished 10th in the 18-team field as they carded a two-round score of 676 (333-343). The tournament was played at the par-72, 5879-yard River Hills Golf Club.

Berry College won the tournament with a final score of 639. Pfeiffer was four strokes behind for second (643), while the University of Montevallo was third (645). Tusclum (650) and Belmont Abbey (652) were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Clayton's second-place finish today is her third top-10 finish of the season. Limestone's Miranda Van Arsdale finished tied for 39th (84-85 169), while Ansley Smith tied for 54th (85-90 175). Samantha Allison tied for 68th (91-93 184) while Sarah Milner was 76th (97-101 198).
