CLAYTON CLAIMS MEDALIST HONORS AT TUSCULUM FALL CLASSIC AS LADY SAINTS FINISH 4TH

GREENEVILLE, Tenn.--Lady Saint Katie Clayton won individual medalist honors at the Tusculum Fall Classic on Tuesday, as she fired 72 in the second round for a two-day score of 150. Limestone’s women’s golf team finished fourth in the nine-team field with a score of 666. The tournament was played at the par-72, 5804-yard Link Hills Golf Club.

Clayton and Lenoir-Rhyne’s Megan Ulep each finished at 150 for the tournament as Clayton won medalist honors on the scorecard playoff. Lady Saints Ansley Smith, Miranda Van Arsdale, and Samantha Allison each posted a final score of 172 to tie for 27th. Sarah Milner finished 43rd (193).

Wingate won the tournament with a final score of 641. Lenoir-Rhyne was one stroke behind for second place (642), as Tusculum rounded out the top three with a score of 660.

Limestone will compete at the Lenoir-Rhyne Fall Beach Invitational at the Rivers Hills Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on October 8-9.
